On this afternoon at 4 PM, we are going to be hosting a service for Pastor Ron Myles (Healing From Heaven Ministries) for a fundraiser to help him with his down payment to purchase a church. We are asking all Pastors & churches to come together at 4 PM to assist him in this service.
Starting on tomorrow night @ 6:30 PM, there will be a Jurisdictional choir rehearsal held here at GSJ. Additionally, there will be dance rehearsal for the Liturgical dancers at 6 PM held in the conference room. On Monday nights of September 21st and 28th, there will be additional choir rehearsals for jurisdictional choir members.
Evangelist Sherry Huntley is asking for all choir members to attend all of these choir rehearsals and all dancers to attend the dance rehearsals in preparation of the NYCE Jurisdictional Convocation starting on September 26th.
On Sunday, September 13th - GSJ Sunshine Band Annual Day service @ 3 PM. Please come out to support our young people.
The September 25th service "The Time Is Now" has been postponed to a later date. However, our Pastor is asking us to go with him to Pastor McDougall's church Higher Ground in Schenectady for a pre-anniversary service at 7 PM. Our pastor is the speaker.
Our NYCE Jurisdiction Holy Convocation will start on Sunday Night, September 26th with a Pre Convocation Musical and then continue on Tuesday Night, September 28th through October 2nd at 7 PM nightly. We are asking for everyone to attend those services as much as possible and be prepared to be a special blessing on Thursday night to our jurisdictional supervisor Mother Conway and on Friday night, which will be the official night. We will be a special blessing to our interim Bishop Michael Hill.
We are still collecting our GSJ Freedom to Flourish - CAPITAL CAMPAIGN funds to raise $175,000. More details are on our church website: stjohnscogicalbany.org
